SERVICES
Work Sure is your trusted partner for comprehensive On-Site Workplace Health Monitoring services.
Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, a PCBU must ensure that health monitoring is provided to a worker who works for the PCBU if:
(a) the worker is carrying out ongoing work involving a substance hazardous to health that is specified in a safe work instrument as requiring health monitoring; and
(b) there is a serious risk to the worker’s health because of exposure to the substance hazardous to health.
Health monitoring looks at whether a worker’s health is being harmed because of what they are being exposed to while they are at work.
Hearing Screening (Audiometry)
Workers who are regularly exposed to loud noise in the workplace that is above the exposure limits of 85dBA over an 8 hour period, as well as substances that can damage hearing (for example ototoxic substances such as paints, solvents, thinners, glues) are required to be provided with Hearing Screening (Audiometry) by their employers.
Initial Hearing screening (audiometry) assists in identifying potential problems, detect hearing damage/loss and provide referrals to audiologists for full diagnostic tests if a problem is identified.
Work Sure Ltd carries out Audiometry Testing in accordance with AS/NZS 1269.Part 4 Audiometry Assessment: 2014
Lung Function Testing (Spirometry)
Lung Function Testing is crucial for workplaces with exposure to hazardous airborne particulates, whether from chemical process or specific work activities. Common workplace air contaminants, including dusts such as saw dusts, quarry dusts, welding fumes and biological plant/animal aerosols highlight the importance of our screening.
Spirometry is a clinical test used to assess lung function by measuring the physiological properties of the lungs (e.g. airflow mechanics and volumes).
Work Sure Ltd
adheres to the 2019 joint American Thoracic Society (ATS) and European Respiratory Society (ERS) international standards for spirometry testing.
Vision Screening
Ensuring your employees maintain optimal visual acuity and colour vision perception is crucial for task performance and workplace safety. Our vision screening includes assessments with normal correction lenses (if applicable), reading near and distant charts, and optional colour vision testing. Identifying and addressing potential vision issues, referrals are made as needed.
